The Lust List (3rd ed.): Spring is near!

As you all know, I have something of a jacket obsession, but truth be told, I am not a full-fledged winter lover.  By the time February rolls around, I am ready to repack my sweaters, hide my boots under the bed, and stuff my myriad coats into the murky back corners of my closet.  Indeed, by the time March appears on my iCal, my mind is already skipping ahead to what I will wear to brunch, for drinks, when traveling … sigh!

Perhaps it’s the prevalence of Oxford shoes this season or perhaps it’s my actual time in Oxford, but this year, I’m feeling especially Gatsby-esque — think layered neutrals, whisper-weight silks, and feminine touches.  In years past, however, I have admittedly fallen too easily into the girlie ruffle realm, so this time around I’m aiming to rough it up in places and smarten it up in others.

Come March, you can spot me in this:

Uniqlo Women’s Soft Jersey Tailored Jacket

$39.50

Almost like a light sweatshirt, this blazer is the perfect weight and cut -- and price.

J. Crew Adriana Silk Rows Tank

$79.50

With lovely braided details, this top is great for layering or wearing by itself.

Steven Alan Gemma Skirt (Organic)

$168

Dove grey. Cream buttons. Tulip hem. Organic. Pockets! Perfection.

Deena & Ozzy Two-Tone Oxfords

$38.00

These flats nod to the Oxford trend without giving in to its manly clunkiness.

Rebecca Minkoff Linear Stud Rocker Bag

$298

Needs no explanation.

Warby Parker Colton Frames

$95

I am always a sucker for new glasses, and these are amazing: just $95 for frames and anti-reflective prescription lenses -- and for every pair sold, they give a pair to someone in need.

Oh, and I accept PayPal.  Donations to the Dress The Author Fund welcome.
